Five Fall Events to Try In Wells Gray and Clearwater

1. Clearwater Canoe Regatta - September 9, 2017

This community event is at the heart of Clearwater, the Gateway to Wells Gray Park. Taking place around Dutch Lake, start the day by competing in the annual Rotary Relay, a mini-triathlon for adults and kids. Then dive into the main events which range from canoe and kayak races to wacky contests on the beach. Race against our First Responders. 4. Simpcw First Nation Mountain Bike Trail Celebration- September 23, 2017

The Simpcw Fist Nation is hosting a celebration to acknowledge the success and accomplishments of the community trail crew. Several new bike and hiking trails in our community at Chu Chua have been completed and we welcome all to come join us. There will be group rides, shuttle rides and a BBQ. 5. Wildlife Tracking Fundamentals Course - September 1-3, 2017

A two-day workshop with David Moskowitz & Trevor Goward. In this two-day workshop, participants will learn to identify and interpret wildlife tracks and other sign. We’ll learn how tracking can open a window into wildlife viewing, ecological relationships, and the secret lives of animals.
